Compostable Dinnerware:
Did you know that when you enjoy lunch at your favorite food vendor booth your plate/fork/spoon/glass are all compostable? We expect vendors to serve food on certified PFAS-free, composable ware that is accepted by our local composter. Make sure your used items get placed in the compost bin!
Reusable Dinnerware:
Have you been to any of the various breakfast and dinner offerings throughout the weekend? We serve thousands of individuals delicious meals during the weekend of The Energy Fair and we use real dishes to reduce waste. We couldn’t do it without our volunteer groups who help us wash thousands of plates/silverware throughout the weekend.
Bring your own water bottle!
We do not allow the sale of bottled water on site during The Energy Fair. We have three watering stations available on the fairgrounds, please look for this symbol on the map in your Program Guide. Did you forget your bottle at home? Support the MREA and purchase a reusable metal water bottle at the MREA Marketplace. Members receive a 10% discount on purchases.
Compost at The Fair:
We expect vendors to serve food on certified PFAS-free, compostable ware that is accepted by our local composter. This will include napkins, forks, spoons, and plates. Make sure your used compostable service ware and all your uneaten food scraps get placed in the compost bin!
Don’t know what bin to choose?
Recycling connections will have a booth near the Food Court and will be available to assist our food vendors and attendees with waste. Please reach out to a staff member or volunteer if you are unsure of what waste bin you are looking for. We are happy to answer your questions!
