About the Presenter(s)
Don Ferber, Sierra Club Beyond Coal
I'm a long time outdoor enthusiast, and especially enjoy restoration activities and biking, who finds our destruction of the planet frightening. I see many better alternatives to provide us with a sustainable future. The Sierra Club is an organization I really enjoy since it's active on so many fronts, provides many opportunities for involvement, and it offers strong support for volunteers. I've worked with many terrific volunteers and staff on the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal climate team, and am gratified by the success we've had in stopping the coal rush. In addition, I enjoy doing outreach, getting other people involved, reducing waste at festivals, and educating people about climate change and clean energy solutions. Reducing my own energy consumption and carbon footprint is a personal goal.
