Larisa Walk is a co-author - along with her husband, Bob Dahse - of "Feeding Ourselves - The Four-Season Pantry from Plant to Plate." As children of The Great Depression-era parents, they both became vegetarians and whole foodies in the 1970's inspired by reading about the good life of Helen and Scott Nearing. Their energy consciousness led them to an 'off-grid' life, which they have spent over three decades mastering and refining. They currently live in a solar electric-powered, passive solar, straw bale home in Winona County, MN. You can see the destination of their homesteading journey on their website.

Jan and her husband have spent over 45 years learning and refining ways to feed themselves, their family, and their friends through gardening and low tech food storage. They have powered their homes with wind and solar for over 40 years. She loves to share tips and tricks of storing live foods using simple methods.
