About the Presenter(s)
Daniel Becker, Architect, AIA, NCARB, LEED
Mr. Becker is an NCARB certified architect with over 30 years of experience. He is registered in the states of WI, MI, and FL, is a board certified member of the American College of Healthcare Architects, and an LEED Accredited Professional. He received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and a Master's of Architecture from the University of MN. He is the recipient of a full fellowship to the ACSA Construction Materials & Technology Institute at Harvard University. Mr. Becker attended the Ashevillage Institute Natural Building program. He has published articles in such publications as 'Environmental Design+Construction,' 'Healthcare Design,' and 'Wisconsin Architect,' and lectured at various forums and conferences including the University of South FL National Sustainability Summit, Healthcare Design Conference, MREA Energy Fair, Green Energy Summit, Greening The Hartland Conference, Health Facility Institute, Annual Chicago Architecture Conference, and H2E Teleconference. Awards and citations include: AIA WI Merit Award for Gunderson Lutheran Renal Dialysis Center, 'IA Architect' Citation for Remembrances & Transformations Competition, 'MN Architect' Honorable Mention Hook Line & Shelter Competition, First Place, Wisconsin Society of Architects Affordable Housing Design Competition, and multiple Citations for Service from AIA Wisconsin and Association of Licensed Architects.
