You will find lots of delicious food choices at The Energy Fair! We have a range of regional and world cuisines, with an emphasis on local, organic ingredients. In the morning, enjoy a farm-fresh breakfast with eggs and sausage by Organic Valley (Sat/Sun) or pancakes by Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (Fri). Throughout the day, visit our food vendors and the MREA Cafe for lunch, snacks, dinner, or coffee to keep you fueled throughout the day.

FRIDAY – Start the weekend with Pancakes for Peace on Friday, June 16, 2017. Hosted by Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, which works toward the creation of a world free from violence and injustice. They will be donating 10% of their profits to the MREA.
Organic Valley Breakfast
SATURDAY & SUNDAY – 7:30 – 11:00 a.m. (Open before 9:00 a.m. to presenters, exhibitors, volunteers and sponsors) Treat yourself to a hearty breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, tea, and more. Hosted by Organic Valley with Peace Coffee served, you are sure to leave satiated. This breakfast helps raise funds for the MREA’s educational programs.
DAILY – Enjoy treats from Earth Crust Bakery, Main Grain Bakery, Village Hive, and Zest Bakery. It’s so good you’ll be back for seconds! Coffee and orange juice are donated by Colectivo Coffee, Emy J’s, Kickapoo Coffee, Peace Coffee, and Steep and Brew Coffee and tea from Rishi—make sure to ask about our ‘Bottomless Coffee Cup’ to keep you going all weekend. This breakfast helps raise funds for the MREA’s educational programs.
Our food vendors offer a range of delicious, healthy foods we give preference to vendors who use healthy, locally-sourced, and organic ingredients. Water is free at the Fair, and the sale of bottled water is not allowed. Food and beverage vendors for 2017 included ADIRE Indian Cuisine, Central Waters Brewing Co., Fizzeology Foods, Glacier Ice Cream, Jamaican Kitchens, Kinstone Kitchen, Razor J’s Old Fashioned Kettle Corn, and Tapuat Kombucha.
The MREA Cafe serves locally-sourced and organic food to Fair attendees, all day long. The Cafe will serve Organic Prairie and Tofurky brats on an Earthcrust Bakery bun with a spring vegetable coleslaw and Beanfield or Kettle chips. These fantastic food options will be displayed on disposable, biodegradeable & compostable dinnerware.
Friday, June 16, be sure to stop by the MREA Cafe to taste test and/or purchase komubcha from Tapuat Brewing Co. There will be a Tapuat representative present to answer all your kombucha questions! Tapuat Brewing Co., out of Fish Creek, WI is committed to the synergistic power of local, small-scale, responsible production and commerce in order to better our lives, our communities, and Mother Earth.
Beer & Refreshments
Looking for a refreshing break at The Energy Fair? Stop by the Beer Tent for a local, solar brewed beer from Central Waters Brewing Co. Located just 9 miles from the Fairgrounds Central Waters Brewing is focused on sustainability and utilizes 120 kw of solar electric along with a large solar thermal array for heating. You can pick up one of our collectable glass Energy Fair tumblers at the Beer Tent or in the Marketplace. In addition to beer, root beer and cider are available.
